Manaka is located in the Amazonia Jungle of South America 420
miles from Caracas, capital of Venezuela, at the confluence of
the Ventuari River into the mighty Orinoco, the confluence of
these big rivers offers spectacular delta with an ecosystem of
its own. In the middle of this dense jungle and beautiful waters
is Manaka. A five-star fishing camp where its personnel, the general
manager, guides, maintenance crew, house-keeping personnel, the
chef and his staff are looking forward to host and offer you a
great week of fishing. Besides the catch of the day, their chef
will surprise you with wonderful national and international dishes:
tender meat, fresh chicken, fruits and vegetables are brought-in
weekly to assure you freshness and variety. You will also enjoy
cold beer, mineral water, soft drinks, ice tea and plenty of ice
every day.
What is the climate like?
Manaka is located approximately 150 miles north of the equator,
so you can expect fairly consistent daytime temperatures ranging
between 85-95 degrees and high humidity. The fishing season coincides
with the dry season , so it will be bright and sunny with only
an occasional shower. Long pants, long sleeves shirts, sun block
and drinking plenty of liquid while fishing is highly recommended.

Manaka?
Manaka Lodge was built in 1987 by highly respected Venezuelan
businessmen and enthusiastic, well-traveled outdoorsmen. Their
devotion to details and never ending commitment to the gratification
of their guests, have created an unbelievable oasis of comfort
that must be seen to be appreciated. You will be pleasantly surprised.
Anglers reside in churuatas (or bungalows) that are luxuriously
designed to conform to the native architecture of the Baniba and
Piaroa indians. Each roomy churuata contains two twin beds with
overhead fans and private bath. There is also a separate large
churuata with a dining room to enjoy great meals, and a living
room area to relax and to tell those exciting fishing stories
of the day.
